Gustave A. Larson Company Creates a Partnership With Rheem
Gustave A. Larson to sell Rheem HVAC equipment and parts
ATLANTA —June 15, 2015 – Rheem has formed a partnership with wholesale HVAC and refrigeration distributor, Gustave A. Larson Company. The Wisconsin-based company sells heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts and supplies throughout the Midwest, Plains and Mountain States.
With this alliance, Gustave A. Larson Company now sells Rheem products in Indiana and western Kentucky, and Ruud-branded products in western Ohio. The inventory will consist of the company’s newly redesigned heating and cooling products—designed by contractors for contractors.
“This expansion of products to include these innovative systems is not only a way to help us compete in the residential and commercial HVAC market, but a great fit for our family-owned and operated business,” said Scott Larson, president and chief operating officer, Gustave A. Larson Company. “We pride ourselves in teaming up with top partners, something we’ve been doing since my grandfather, Gus Larson, founded our company in the 1930’s.”
Gustave A. Larson’s customers will specifically benefit from the launch of several new Rheem heat pumps and gas furnaces. Rheem’s most efficient heat pump ever will come out later this year. This unit will achieve 20-SEER and 13-HSPF, and it will feature inverter-driven technology, which employs a variable-speed compressor to deliver cooling demands up to 110 °F and heating demands down to 7 °F ambient. Rheem’s 90%+ Gas Furnace Platform debuted in 2013; the line is well suited for Gustave A. Larson’s geographies.
The timing of this new venture could not be better for both companies. Earlier this year, Indiana-based Superior Distribution sold its assets to Gustave A. Larson Company. Superior Distribution had sold Rheem heating and cooling products for a number of years.
“Rheem is pleased to begin its partnership with the Gustave A. Larson Company,” said Mike Branson, vice president and general manager, Rheem Air Conditioning Division. “The company has long been known for its dedication to serving contractors in the Midwest. They are a professional, full-service distributor, with a passion for helping their customers grow their businesses. I am extremely excited about what this combination of talent will mean for all HVAC contractors in the region.”
