Temporaries Capture the Spotlight at AmericasMart’s July Market
“AmericasMart’s Temporaries offer the latest in what’s new because our team of savvy professionals travels the globe ferretting out the world’s most innovative trends and most talented emerging designers,” says Jo Ann Miller Marshall, executive vice president. “Our mission is to assemble the best and broadest collections within each segment we serve so retailers can easily differentiate their stores based on the product choices they make during Market.”
The HD Home Preview Party on Thursday, July 12, on Building 1, Floor 1, Center Hall, offers an opportunity to see the most sought-after names in home furnishings in an elegant setting. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks while previewing some of the greatest design-driven home furnishings and décor anywhere. New names include The Amy Howard Collection and French Heritage.
All the Market Temporaries serve as a showcase for new, quality lines to enter the retail world. July Market brings more than several hundred new names to Atlanta, representing innovation and opportunity. Spurred by the success of High Design and High Design LUXE, AmericasMart’s latest debuting category, Gourmet LUXE, brings together a group of higher price-point culinary delights. Exhibitors already signed include Savannah Bee Company, Saxon Chocolates, Yolka Chocolates and Australian Design and Marketing. Look for more to join the elite group to round out the category in the Building 2 WestWing, Floor 2 lobby.
High Design LUXE continues the momentum from last year with new names and options ranging from Grace & Blake, with chic modern Lucite furniture and accessories, to Veritas LLC, with exquisite hand-made crystal. High Design LUXE is in the Building 2 WestWing, Floor 1 lobby.
“Buyers know High Design LUXE is the place to find new product and unique gift products,” says Kathleen Allen, owner and designer of Veritas LLC. Her high-end crystal, which is hand-made, hand-cut and hand-polished, is a favorite of high-end retailers including Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus as well as specialty boutiques.
Made in America, which debuted in January, returns with an expanded collection of gift and décor products that are produced in the United States using component parts and materials – most of which also are produced within the United States. Housed in Building 3, Floor 2, Made in America exhibitors run the gamut from furniture, home décor and tabletop to jewelry, art, edibles and much more. On Friday, July 13, Julie Reiser, president and co-founder of Made in USA Certified, will discuss the overall market trends in buying American. Reiser explains why Made in America is a movement – not a trend – that can inspire any type of retailer to find new home-grown product lines.
The Global Designs category brings the world to AmericasMart through companies selling hand-made items from around the world while emphasizing corporate altruism. Exhibitors include DZI, Inc., which sells jewelry and gifts, Swahili Imports’ baskets, carvings and pottery and the jewelry, scarves and tabletop items of Acacia Creations.
In Building 1, the Home Accents/Home Furnishings/Fine Linens collection on Floor 7 adds depth to the extensive home and décor lines carried throughout the buildings. Among the complementary exhibitors: Bellino Fine Linens, which sells Italian linens, and Sabira Collection, showing a luxurious fashion and home collection.
Once again, AmericasMart exhibitors offer more product in one place than anywhere else. Buyers can find the next new “latest greatest” from established favorites and fresh newcomers. With more than 32 individual categories, there’s a specially designated Temporary collection with innovative, creative options for any retailer:
